About Us

Background

Founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2024, the New Zionist Movement espouses a democratic, pluralistic State of Israel co-existing alongside an independent State of Palestine.

The “Zionist Apology for the Nakba” is a vital step towards reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. Our apology does not imply sole responsibility for the 100+ years conflict, nor does it absolve the Arabs and Palestinians of their culpability in our shared dispute.

Leadership

The New Zionist Movement is a grass-roots organization administered by a small team of volunteers:

  • Jack Yair Edelstein, Ph.D. — PresidentJack@NewZionist.org
  • L. Ray Johnson, Esquire — Legal Counsel
  • Eileen Dzik, LMSW — Founding Member

A full list of board members will be published in the coming weeks.
